Condensation control for metal roofs

Dripstop Anti-Condensation Roof Sheeting

Stop your roof from dripping. Available from Afrisheet in Middelburg pre-installed on new IBR and Corrugated sheets, or as DIY rolls for the roof you already have.

What Dripstop does

Uninsulated metal roofs sweat. On cold nights the underside of the sheet reaches dew point, condensation forms, and by morning it is dripping onto your stock, feed, vehicles or equipment.

Dripstop is a fleece membrane bonded to the underside of the roof sheet. It soaks up the condensation as it forms, holds it in the membrane, and releases it back into the air as normal humidity once the day warms up. No drips, no chemicals, nothing to maintain.

  • Protects stock, feed, vehicles and stored goods from dripping
  • Keeps people and livestock dry under the roof
  • Helps protect the sheet against corrosion from standing moisture
  • Reduces rain noise on the roof
  • Maintenance-free and easy to clean; long manufacturer warranty

Where it makes sense

Farm sheds & barns

Keep feed, hay, implements and livestock dry.

Warehouses & stores

Protect stock and packaging from drip damage.

Workshops

Stop condensation dripping on tools and machinery.

Carports & garages

No more drips on vehicles overnight.

Good to know: Dripstop manages condensation. It is not waterproofing or thermal insulation, it will not fix a leak, and the building needs normal ventilation so the membrane can dry out between cycles. A roof pitch of about 10° or more is recommended.

Dripstop questions

What is Dripstop?

Dripstop is a condensation control membrane for uninsulated metal roofs. It is a felt-like fleece bonded to the underside of the roof sheet. When the roof reaches dew point, the membrane absorbs the condensation that would otherwise drip, holds it, and lets it evaporate back into the air once conditions dry out.

Can I get Dripstop already fitted to my roof sheets?

Yes. Afrisheet can supply IBR and Corrugated roof sheeting with Dripstop pre-installed on the underside. The sheets arrive on site ready to fit, with no separate lining or insulation step.

Can Dripstop be added to a roof that is already on?

Yes. Dripstop DIY comes as self-adhesive rolls (30 cm wide, 50 m long) that you stick to the underside of your existing sheets from inside the building, without removing any sheets. Fit it on a dry day when the temperature is above 10 °C.

Is Dripstop insulation or waterproofing?

No. Dripstop manages condensation only. It is not thermal insulation and it will not fix a leaking roof. The building needs normal ventilation so the membrane can dry out between cycles, and a roof pitch of about 10 degrees or more is recommended.

Where is Dripstop used?

Farm sheds and barns, stables, warehouses, workshops, carports, garages and self-storage units: any uninsulated metal roof where dripping condensation damages stock, equipment or feed.
